Mementos, Oddities, and Knickknack from the Thai-Burma Border is a series of paintings that documents objects of emotional significance from my time living in Mae Sot, Thailand.
In archiving these pieces I am attempting to honor them. The pairing of objects builds on the meaning of the original piece and acts as a spiritual, psychological and sometimes matter-of-fact chronicle of: Things I made. Things I found. Things I keep. Things that were given to me.
